Despite the fact that this consolidation has been forced upon us, we sincerely feel that we will be able to improve our service to both our Lead and Deadwood customers by closing the Lead yard and consolidating our materials supply and our personnel staffs in Deadwood. The change will permit larger and more complete stocks and an enlarged staff. No other changes are anticipated, and the present Lead phone number will be maintained for the convenience of Lead residents. (The telephone company will automatically transfer all calls to our Deadwood office.) To properly serve both cities we will maintain three trucks at the Deadwood yard. No delivery charge will be made for either Lead or Deadwood regardless of the size of the order, and all orders will be delivered promptly.

The consolidation became effective Saturday night, April 7. All stocks will be moved to the Deadwood yard at 32 Charles Street. Elroy Schroeder, our present Lead manager, will manage the consolidated yard with Melvin Olson serving as assistant manager.
