It was decioed to select men from the five companies outside of South Lead and "Step" Johnson was chosen as trainer. Rock work was encountered on the south end of the ground and increased num ber of miners were put on. In this manner good progress was made and the park will be finished on contract time. The work of leveling up will take some time, but by the middle of next week it is expected that the ground, 350 feet long by 300 wide, will be as level as a floor and in fair condition for business.
