630 Kin Ava. EVERYTHING LIKE NEW BUT THE PRICE John Hodges' telephone crew was working on a routine job when it happened. Lineman Dale Fletcher was up on a pole installing a new crossarm when a high-voltage power line dropped on him from above, burning him severely and knocking him unconscious. Later it was determined the insulator holding the power wire had been cracked atsome earlier time by a rifle bullet. Vibrations from Fletcher's work on the pole caused the damaged insulator to break and drop the "hot wire." Unconscious, Fletcher swung free in his safety belt, suspended high above the ground.

Below, Foreman John Hodges sprang into action. He strapped on pole climbers and safety belt, swiftly climbed the pole. Working within inches of the dangling power line, Hodges maneuvered hand, and unhooked the injured man's safety belt. Then, lifting Fletcher across his own safety belt, he brought him to the ground. On the ground, Hodges and his crew put their First Aid training to work until the city rescue unit arrived a few minutes later. Dale Fletcher's life was saved, and he has since fully recovered.

For his heroic act. John Hodges was honored by the Bell Telephone System with its distinguished Silver Vail Medal and a cash award, by the National Safety Council with its President's Medal, and the American Red Cross with its Certificate of Merit. His story was the subject of a national network television program, "Mr. Citizen." Other members of Hodges' crew received company citations. We are indeed proud of our Mr.

Hodges. We invite you to come see us and look at this fine Certified Used Car. Complete TV SERVICE Now! TV troubles? Don't let them rob you of your TV entertainment!
