SOUTH DAKOTA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION SOUTH DAKOTA TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION NOTICE OF HEARING Pursuant to the authority vested by SDCL 1-26 the South Dakota Transportation Commission will hold a hearing on the 20th day of November, 1986, at the hour of 11:00 o'clock (CST) in the Commission Room in the Transportation Building, Pierre, South Dakota, to consider the amending of the following rule: SPEED RULES: 70:01:02:63 (10) A speed zone in Walworth County on U.S. Highway 12 and State Trunk Highway 20 in Mobridge is being amended. The reason is to raise a portion of the speed zone from 30 to 35 miles per hour. The purpose of the speed change is in the interest of public safety.

Copies of the proposed rules may be obtained at the office of the Secretary, South Dakota Transportation Commission, Pierre, South Dakota. Notice is also given that any interested person may submit oral or written arguments at the time of the hearing or may submit written statements or arguments to the Secretary, Department of Transportation, Transportation Building, Pierre, South Dakota, prior to the date set for the hearing. The South Dakota Transportation Commission, upon its own motion or at the instance of any interested person, may thereafter amend the above proposals substantially as above set forth without further notice. Howard RICHARD L. HOWARD, SECRETARY Local, area Terry Cockrell Funeral services for Terrence "Terry" Cockrell, 49, of Carlile, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, at the United Methodist Church in Sundance, Wyo. The Rev.

Paul Redfield will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Moriah Cemetery at Sundance, under the direction of Fidler Roberts Northeast Wyoming Funeral Chapel. Cockrell died Saturday, Oct. 25, near Sidney, while hunting. Memorials have been established to the American Heart Association and Ducks Unlimited.

He was born Nov. 16, 1936, at Fort Wayne, the son of Glen and Tressa (Sefton) Cockrell. He attended Howe Military Academy for three years and graduated from Northside High School in Fort Wayne in 1954. He was married Aug. 29,1959, at Fort Wayne.

He graduated from Michigan State University in 1962 and the family moved to Beulah in August of 1966 where Cockrell worked for the Fish Genetics Laboratory until 1974. He worked as a electrician in the area until the time of his death. Survivors include his wife, Sharon of Carlile, a son, Brett Alan Cockrell of Williston, N.D.; two daughters, Mrs. Larry (Lynn) Perlenfein of Bonesteel, and Tracy Cockrell of Aurora, Colo; his mother, Tressa Wolf and maternal grandmother, Hazel Sefton, both of Fort Wayne. He was preceded in death by his father, Glen.

William Eddy Word has been received of the death of William E. Eddy, formerly of Lead, at his home in Temple City, Calif. on Saturday, Oct. 25. William Eddy was born in Lead in May of 1914.

He graduated from Lead High School in 1933. As a youngster, he worked as a pinsetter at the Homestake Recreation Center. He worked for Homestake Mining Company as a time keeper until he left for California during World War II.

He worked for Bell and Howell of Pasadena, Calif. as a personnel director until his retirement. Eddy was High Priest in the Masonic Lodge of Pasadena and belonged to several orders including York and High Twelve. He was also president of the Temple City Senior Citizens for three years. Following cremation, private services will be held November 3 in Temple City.

Eddy was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter, and one brother, all of Lead. He is survived by his wife Gayle and two sons, Ralph and Frank, all of Temple City; a sister, Dorothy Eddy, and brother John Eddy, both of Lead; a brother, Robert, Temple City; and three grandsons and a great-grandson. The home address is 5111 SanAnita Temple City, Calif. 91780- 7378. Rosella Grohs Funeral services for Rosella K.

Grohs of Spearfish, are set for Tuesday, Oct. 28, at 10 a.m. at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Mitchell. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Mitchell. She died Friday, Oct.

24 at Lookout Memorial Hospital at the age of She was born Oct. 27, 1905, at Roby, S.D. to Philip and Mary (Bohr) Kirsch. She attended schools at Roby and was married to Joseph Grohs at Dimock. They ranched in the Dimock area for several years, lived at Parkston for several years and moved to Mitchell where they lived from 1942 to 1981 when she moved to Spearfish and was a resident at Serenity Corner.

Survivors include one son, Lyle Grohs of Gillette; a sister, Eleanor Morris of San Diego, and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Alvin and two brothers, Matt and Albert. Local arrangements were by Jolley Evans Funeral Chapel.
