March 20, 1965, Queen City Mail, page 12 Obituaries theme "Be of Seminar the Stabilized in set Faith," is the on Mass of the William Feiler Hazel Christian Burial for McLaughlin William J. Feiler was held Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Rev. Don Hickerson served as celebrant.

Burial with full military honors was in Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis under the direction of the Fidler Funeral Chapel. Rosary and Christian Wake Service were Sunday at 7 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Feiler, 67, died at his home in Spearfish Thursday.

He was born Jan. 3, 1917, at Gladstone, N.D., the son of John and Mary (Wax) Feiler. He grew up and graduated from high school there, where he held the North Dakota high school record in the mile track event for 24 years. He received a degree in business from Drake University, Des Moines, Iowa. At Drake, he excelled in cross country and track and was honored in 1938 as an All-American Collegiate Athlete.

During World War II, he was a pilot in the Air Force. He served in the South Pacific and attained the rank of lieutenant colonel. He was awarded the Air Medal, the Oak Leaf Cluster, and the Distinguished Flying Cross. 1 Following his discharge, he returned to Des Moines. He served as commanding officer of the 124th Fighter Squadron for the Iowa Air National Guards and also commanded the 132nd Fighter Group.

He was married in 1958 to Eleanor Byrne at Sioux City, Iowa. They lived in Sioux Falls where Feiler was a special agent for the Western Insurance Company for 24 years. He retired in 1982 and moved to Spearfish. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, Sioux Falls; the Pearl Harbor Survivor Association of South Dakota and was currently serving as president of the group. He was a member of the American Legion Post and VFW Post both of Spearfish.

Survivors include two daughters: Mary, Sioux Falls, and Ann Marie, Spearfish; two sons: Joseph, Casper, and James, Idaho Falls, Idaho; four sisters: Agnes Kauffman, Fairborn, Dorothy Randberg, Canby, Mary Kay Schumacker, Bismarck, N.D., and Ann Dawson, Knoxville, and three brothers: Robert and Adolph, St. Cloud, and Fred, Yuma, Ariz. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Eleanor; and two brothers, Ewald and Joseph. A memorial has been established for a track scholarship at Black Hills State Paul Shryock Rosary and Christian Wake Services for Charles Paul Shryock, 81, were held at 5 p.m. Thursday, March 14, at St.

Joseph Catholic Church. The Rev. Don Hickerson served as leader. Mass of the Christian Burial was held Friday, March 15, at 1:30 p.m. at St.

Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Hickerson as celebrant. Interment with full military honors was in Black Hills National Cemetery under the direction of the Fidler Funeral Chapel. Shryock died at the Veterans Hospital at Fort Meade Tuesday morning, March 12, where he had been hospitalized the past two weeks. Paul Shryock was born March 17, 1903, at Fitzgerald, Ga.

He served in the U.S. Marines in the early 1920s and then also served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He moved to Spearfish in 1925 and worked at the sugar beet factory in Belle Fourche, and also for the postal department as a mail carrier from the Spearfish Post Office. The Shryock family built and operated the Shryock Cabins and Motel on Canyon Street from 1927 to 1970.

He was married to Eulalia B. Shryock on June 15, 1952, at Spearfish. She died Oct. 20, 1968. After selling the motel, Shryock lived in the Spearfish and Belle Fourche area.

He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans. Survivors include a step-daughter, Mrs. Angela Collins of Spearfish; a step-son, Charles M. Shryock of Savanna, seven grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Dare and Vern. Women's group to meet Northern Hills Chapter of the National Organization for Women will hold its next regular monthly meeting Monday, March 25, 1985, at 7 p.m. at Sturgis City Hall, 1147 Sherman, Sturgis. The program will be a videotape on "Pay All interested persons are welcome. Our sincere thanks to all our wonderful friends and relatives for so much love and kindness shown us at the time of the death of our darling husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

Special thanks to Rev. Cushing, Rev. Holmes, the choir, soloist, organist, pall bearers, persons who prepared the supper, dinner and lunches. Thank you to all for food, calls, cards, memorial donations and flowers and to Dr. Wudel, the ambulance crew, neighbors and the dear lady driving the van that stopped to help me, also Virgil and Barb Weaver for caring for little Jennifer.

We love you all and may God bless you! The family of Bert Libolt Harry L. Nelson Harry L. Nelson, 65, St. Onge, died Wednesday evening at the Fort Meade V.A. Medical Center.

No services are scheduled and burial will be in the Black Hills National Cemetery following cremation. Arrangements are with the F.O. Jolley Funeral Home of Sturgis. Harry L. Nelson was born Dec.

28, 1919, at Gorham, to Snowden and Vera Nelson. In 1941 he joined the United States Air Force serving until 1945 when he returned to Illinois. He was a technical writer and consultant in the electronics field, traveling throughout the United States and on several foreign assignments. He was a real estate broker in later years and following retirement in the 1970s, moved to the St. Onge area where he had lived since.

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Antioch, Ill. Survivors include two brothers, Wendell Nelson and Harold Nelson, both of San Diego, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister. semi-annual seminar Jehovah's Witnesses. Larry Snyder, local representative, said the two day instructional program will be held in Sturgis Saturday and Sunday, March 23 and 24.

Meetings will be in the Gruenwald Auditorium of the Williams Junior High School. The public is welcome at all sessions. Sessions begin at 10 a.m. both Saturday and Sunday and continue all day. Sunday School and Nursery following worship Funeral services for Mrs. Hazel W. McLaughlin, 94, of Sundance, were held Friday, March 15, at the United Methodist Church at Sundance. Elder Dave George of the Seventh Day Adventist Church officiated. Interment was in the Mount Moriah Cemetery under the direction of the FidierRoberts Northeastern Wyoming Funeral Chapel of Sundance.

Memorials have been established for the Sundance Senior Citizens Center and the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Mrs. McLaughlin died at the Weston County Memorial Hospital in Newcastie, Sunday, March 10. She was born Jan. 3, 1891, at Moorefield, the daughter of Alfred and Hester (Quinn) Ealy.

She attended rural school and grew to womanhood in the Moorefield Community. She was married to Ernest Albert McLaughlin March 22, 1909, at North Platte, Neb. The McLaughlin family moved from Nebraska to Wyoming in 1920 and then moved to Sundance in 1928. In July 1984 she entered the Weston County Mange Nursing Home at Newcastle. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge the Senior Citizens and the Seventh Day Adventist Church, all of Sundance.

Survivors include a son, Alfred McLaughlin of Torrington, three daughters: Mrs. Ruth I. Morrison of Oroville, Mrs. Roma D. Morrison of St.

John, and Mrs. Zona M. McElroy of Arbuckle, 24 grandchildren; 70 great grandchildren; and 29 great great grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Gertrude Stone, of Ogallala, Neb. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest, in 1946; two brothers, Gordon and Harold; and a sister, Minnie; and three children in infancy: twin daughters Reba and Rae, son Wilbur; and another son, Marion, in 1980.

Thomas Keller Funeral services for Thomas Edward Keller were held at St. Charles Catholic Church in St. Francis March 11. Father Bernard Fagan officiated. Interment was in Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis.

He was born Aug. 24, 1967, at Chadron, to George and Nina (Cannot) Keller. He attended grade school at Ewing, Flandreau and Todd County schools, graduating from Todd County High School in 1975. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1978 and was honorably discharged i in 1981 following two years of active reserve duty.

He attended Black Hills State College, participated in football for three years and was co-captain of the football team in 1900-81. He moved to Rapid City where he was employed at the time of his death. Survivors include a daughter, Marie Isabelle Keller, Marie's mother, Millie Greaves; his father and step mother, George and Marcheta Keller of San Carlos, four sisters, Nancy Jo, Linda Marie, Sandra Lynn and Anita Marie; six brothers, Richard, Ronald, Eugene, Jeffrey, Mark and Timothy; and his grandmother, Olive Keller. Wakes were held Saturday and Sunday at St. Michael's Hall in Mission and a lunch was served at Mother Butler Center in Rapid City following the burial.
