It was finally decided to adjourn the oase till 7 o'clock this evening, whtn it will be dipoed of, perhaps. It has been suggested that a meeting be called at the court house nexi Satur day evening, for the purpose of organiz ing a new hook and ladder company. We need such an organization. Let it be done. It is laughable to know how thorough ly the boy Thorn by has intimidated the Sherman street Bulldozer. A lot has been purchased on Sherman ssreet for the erecthm of a juse for our hook and ladder truck. I Despatch in the telegraph office for I J. Goodell. weeks or more. Luke Yoorhee, superintendent of the Cheyenne and Black Hills Stage Company arrived by the Sidney coach this forenoon, making the run in seventy-one hours. The Lawrence County Medical Association met at the court house last evening for the purpose of electing officers and adopting a constitution.

But owing to the slim attenuauce no definite action was had. Another meeting was called to take place at the Grand Central, Wednesday evening, May ltl, and it is hoped that a full attendance will be present, It is rumored that rich placer diggings have been discovered about one hundred miles northwest of the Bear I'dge mountains. There are now over one hundred miners in that country. Some good quartz, or cement deposits, have been found there sIho. Ben Hszen has made arrangements with the temperance association of the Hills to deliver lectures on the subject of temperance, and we understand his first lecture is being delivered to-day.

Where and when next? Real estate is looking up on Sherman street. One of our dealers informed us that there is considerable demand for lots on that thoroughfare at present Madam Moustache is getting read to opon a faro bank in town again.
